Attachments of Iliocostalis Lumborum: Origin & Insertion
Origin: medial and lateral sacral crests; medial iliac crest.
Insertion: angles of ribs 6 or 7 – 12.
Actions of the Iliocostalis Lumborum Muscle:
- Bilateral action: extends lower vertebral column (= back).
